The Office Offensive (Single Player Host Version)
Description
A social deduction* game involving trying to get away with a nerf gun shooting during a blackout
I was not able to get the multiplayer version done in time. I understand this might be disqualifying for the jam, but I wanted to share my work anyways. I hope that's okay!
I've included a way to play this with one player acting as the host, even though it is not really my vision for what the game would be.
Controls
1, 2, 3 - Switch between different maps ("Floor 6", "Pizza Party" and "Boss's Office")
R - Restart Level
C - Reveal Culprit
How to Play (2 - 4 Players Recommended)
The host (the one playing the game) shares their screen. The host decides where they want the characters placed, but you can have the players provide input if you wish. You can decide letters are your avatar if you want to roleplay, but consider it like the boardgame Clue where you can be the culprit yourself and not know it.
After all the characters are placed, the host then switches their visible screen on livestream to another tab, while keeping full desktop audio. This way, audio can still be heard during the blackout phase.
The host will see one of the characters has received a gun. The host must try to make the most confusing shot possible to disguise where it came from.
After a player is hit, switch the stream back to the game. Players will vote on which icon they think made the shot.
For every player deceived as the host, the host receives 1 point. If a player correctly guesses the shooter, receive 1 point. Whichever player has the most points by the end of the session wins.
Play however many rounds you want before determining a winner, but make sure every player gets an equal number of rounds to host for the sake of fairness.
